SUMMARY:

The Lead Nurse oversees operation and all services rendered at the BEPHU.

The Lead Nurse is a Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or have 3 – 5 years' experience as an Occupational Health Nurse. The lead nurse shall be experienced in management, supervising, and guidance to the treatment nurses. The lead nurse shall be able to maintain data and prepare reports monthly and annually.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the nurse case manager for worker's compensation cases.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7 years of experience
  • 4 year college degree
  • Have successfully earned a graduate or Baccalaureate degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • Be licensed to practice in Fort Worth, Texas
  • Be certified as an Occupational Hearing Conservationist (CAOHC) Hearing Technician
  • Be certified to administer CPR and use an AED

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Work with web-based computer systems, Medgate Occupational Health and Safety software, as well as, Microsoft Office Suite software.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Normal physical conditions
• May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays
• May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes
• May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours
