Cayuse Product Solutions (CPS) provides (typically through resale of OEM products) physical and digital products to our clients globally, quickly, and consistently at market rates to support their business needs. This includes tracking, sourcing, warehousing, delivering, and when needed implementing and maintaining. CPS works with external clients, but also serves the companies under the Cayuse Holdings and Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation's (CTUIR) umbrellas. Though CPS primarily focuses on IT products, they have the latitude to work with additional products requested by their clients. CPS primarily looks to add value to the procurement process for their clients and as such use's tools and processes such as Just-In-Time and Deal Registration to create value in the procurement chain process.

Job Summary

The President of Cayuse Product Solution's roles and responsibilities include creating and executing strategy for CPS, building, and managing all functions within CPS, and growing and expanding the business to goals established by the President of CPS and the CEO of Cayuse Holdings. They provide direction and leadership to the CPS team with organizational alignment with values, mission, and vision through relationship building, staff development, and the implementation of Cayuse organizational policies and procedures. They also serve as a key member of the Cayuse Holding Executive team and are expected to understand the goals of Cayuse Holdings and its owner the CTUIR and to represent CPS on the executive team.

Job Responsibilities

As part of the Executive Team for greater Cayuse Holdings and the Cayuse family of companies, this position upholds, promotes, and encourage desired organizational culture and core values.

Collaborates with company subsidiaries to:

  • Provide visionary and strategic leadership for the company.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
  • Develop the policies and procedures for the company.
  • Plan and implement a short-, mid- and long-term strategy for the company.

Create and execute a clear strategy for CPS activities that deliver substantial value-add all external and internal customers.

Meet with board members as the CEO directs and with other executives to assess the direction of the company and ensure it is in line with the company's stated mission.

Participate in the development of the company's plans and programs as a strategic partner.

Leads and manages CPS' functions and performances by developing people and processes.

Direct the overall performance of services and ensures accountabilities for the quality and accuracy of the services provided.

Drive the development, implementation and continual review of policies, processes, and operational plans to ensure effective risk management.

Develop an annual work plan that specifies staff accountabilities, key performance indicators and expected outcomes of success.

Drive effective budgeting, business planning, and program effectiveness with problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.

Develop and foster strong relationships with all levels of management, executive team, and other stakeholders.

Minimum Job Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field; or equivalent education and experience. MBA preferred.
  • 15-20 years of experience in same or equivalent role, with at least 10 years management experience.
  • Direct experience running a value-added IT reseller business with specific, current experience with both OEMs and IT distributors.
  • Comfort with all aspects of the supply chain including sales and sales management
  • Must possess problem solving skills.
  • Financial and operational knowledge, as well as knowledge of regulations, policy, and procedures.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, oral and written.
  • Decisive and "big picture" perspective.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Working Conditions

  • Professional remote office environment
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods of time. Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional remote workspace.
  • Will be required to attend and conduct virtual meetings throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to work varying work schedules and/or extended hours to meet business needs and project deadlines.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
